Ruth Debono Domancich is a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, with a special passion on books. As Director of Malta Minerval Editions, she forms part of the excellent team behind the publishing of the English-translated works of Adam Weishaupt.

She manages a diverse client portfolio in a boutique accountancy firm, specialising in accounting, direct and indirect taxation compliance and other professional advisory support services in the field of financial management. Ruth brings a wealth of Big Four experience and serves as a director in a number of local companies.

She has directed audit teams, managed audit and accountancy projects, and ensured regulatory compliance as a Compliance Officer and MLRO.

Outside work, Ruth is a devoted mother and wife, passionate reader and team-builder, dedicated to impactful projects. She bridges the worlds of finance and books production with visionary leadership.

Elizabeth Cortis is the director and CEO of Proofreading Malta Limited and the founder of Proofreading Malta Academy and Bookmark Editors, sub-brands of Proofreading Malta. Elizabeth holds a B.Ed. (Hons.) in English and History, and TESOL certification from Trinity College, London. With ten years of experience as a teacher of English and, in parallel, ten years of proofreading and editing experience under her belt, Elizabeth applied her expertise to the language services industry and founded Proofreading Malta in 2017. At Proofreading Malta, she heads a team of professionals who provide a range of language services in English and Maltese, including proofreading, academic editing, translation, and transcription. Apart from focusing on her editorial work, Elizabeth manages the team to ensure effective workflow coordination and uphold the quality and consistency of all the services. Paul Ferguson, an esteemed English translator, hails from Jersey—the original island nestled off the coast of France. With an extensive background in technical translation within the Benelux region and Switzerland, Paul eventually transitioned to the intriguing and intricate world of book translation.

Renowned for his expertise, Paul specializes in translating significant texts from French, German, Latin, and occasionally other languages into English. His focus on the Western esoteric tradition has garnered attention, particularly in the translation of alchemical works for Adam McLean, as well as Rosicrucian and Jungian literature. Paul has also diligently translated unpublished manuscripts concerning the Templars and the Scottish Rite, alongside Dr. Marc Haven’s notable biography of Cagliostro.

Beyond his translation work, Paul lends his skills to international researchers delving into secret societies and historical enigmas, offering indispensable support with foreign-language research.

An ardent musician, Paul’s passion extends beyond translation. His work on Bettina Hoffmann’s “The Viola da Gamba” was published by Routledge, showcasing his diverse talents and interests.
